Delft Research Stay: Advancing ‘ImmerTec’ at TU Delft
From May to October 2025, Anika Jewst completed a research stay at TU Delft in the Netherlands. During this time, she was a guest researcher in the Computer Graphics and Visualization Group led by Prof. Dr. Elmar Eisemann, where she worked together with PhD candidates and researchers on virtual and augmented reality technologies for use in educational settings. The stay not only supported international networking and scholarly exchange, but also opened up new perspectives and approaches for her doctoral project within “ImmerTec”.
During her time in Delft, Anika Jewst took part in various activities of the research group. These included the weekly “Visulunch” meetings, where members presented their projects or open research questions over pizza, as well as thesis and dissertation defenses, visits to other international research groups, and a group outing to the beach in Scheveningen.
Overall, the stay in Delft was an exciting and enriching experience that provided valuable academic insights while also offering a great opportunity to connect with other PhD researchers in related fields and to get to know everyday life in the Netherlands.
