"Sustainably digital - digital sustainability"

A virtual conference on the interrelation of digitalization and sustainability

At the virtual conference "Sustainably digital - digitally sustainable" Felicitas Macgilchrist, deputy speaker of the Leibniz ScienceCampus Postdigital Participation,  moderated two workshops.

The first workshop took place on December 04 dealing with the Digital Education Action Plan (DEAP):

The European Commission's new Digital Education Action Plan (DEAP, 2021-2027) articulates its future vision for high-quality, inclusive, and accessible digital education in Europe. Europe wants to collaborate more and learn from the experience with technology in education during the COVID-19 crisis. But what are the priorities? What else needs to be added to enable sustainable learning and digital? What culture change does the action plan point to? Three experts on digitization, sustainability and education participate in the discussion.

The second workshop on December 05 focused on digitality, society, history and the serious game "Through the Darkest of Times":

In this workshop, the developers (Paintbucket Games, Saftladen Berlin), led through their award-winning serious game "Through the Darkest of Times". They commented on the game and shared the story behind its creation and their goals with the game. "Through the Darkest of Times" is a historical strategy game about the resistance against National Socialism during the Third Reich in Berlin. Players become fictional resistants in Berlin during the Nazi era. They have to fight for freedom, weaken the system and lead their group through the darkest of times.
