Chantal Karadag teaches and researches at the Institute for Sustainable Urbanism (ISU) at TU Braunschweig. After completing her Bachelor's degree in Architecture at TU Braunschweig, which included a semester abroad at Tongji University in Shanghai and an internship in Amsterdam, Chantal also completed her Master's degree at TU Braunschweig. Her thesis focused on the transformation of the ever-changing urban fabric on the outskirts of Qingdao, CN and the improvement of infrastructure and quality of life. In her research, Chantal Karadag deals with the analysis and investigation of future-oriented sustainability scenarios for settlement units along the urban-rural gradient as well as methods of participatory processes in urban development.
