DIY Approaches in Public Space: Workshop at the Ethnological Museum Heidelberg
On 12 and 13 June 2025, a workshop on DIY approaches in public space took place at the Ethnological Museum Heidelberg.
A highlight of the first day was a contribution by PdP doctoral candidate Stella Flatten, entitled “Graben: A Method of Activist Urban Design.” As part of a panel discussion, various experts exchanged views on participatory and creative methods in urban development.
The workshop was organised by the Institute of European Art History at Heidelberg University under the direction of Professor Brigitte Sölch and Simone Bader, and offered a diverse programme on artistic interventions, user participation, and post-growth-oriented concepts.
