Siggraph 2025 took place in Vancouver, Canada, from 10 August 2025 to 14 August 2025, which Anika Jewst was able to attend thanks to competitive funding from the LWC PdP. Siggraph is the leading international conference in the field of computer graphics and interactive techniques.

The conference offered numerous programme items, including keynotes (with researchers from NVIDIA, NASA and Autodesk, among others), paper sessions, specialist lectures and courses, which provided exciting insights into current research results and activities in the field of computer graphics. The programme was complemented by an exhibition with interactive stands where new technologies and VR/AR applications could be tried out.

This year, Siggraph was particularly strongly influenced by contributions on topics such as VR/AR/XR and generative AI. Among other things, a VR simulation on the topic of ADHD was presented, which allowed participants to slip into the role of those affected and interactively understand their perceptions and experiences.

Visiting Siggraph was an extremely enriching and interesting experience that provided valuable insights into the latest developments in computer graphics and, in particular, in the field of immersive technologies.
