Dr Annekatrin Bock heads the Media in Schools (MediS) research team within the Media | Transformation department. She previously worked as a researcher in the Media Studies Department of the Institute for Social Sciences at the Technical University Braunschweig examining the media shift and the changing online availability of media products from a communications studies perspective. As a lecturer at several institutions, including the TU Braunschweig and the Georg-August-University Göttingen, she has taught social and cultural studies theory and qualitative and quantitative methodology to bachelor’s and master’s students on communication studies and teacher training courses.
As a result of her previous research projects Annekatrin Bock is known both nationally and internationally in the fields of educational media research, school and classroom research as well as within media reception and appropriation research in media and communication studies. Her current projects address media transformations such as datification and the change in learning culture.
