Martin Streicher has worked at the Leibniz Institute for Educational Media since August 2019 and is the academic coordinator for the Leibniz ScienceCampus – Postdigital Participation – Braunschweig.

He studied classical archaeology, history, Egyptology and Coptic studies as well as ancient Mediterranean cultures at the University of Göttingen. He successfully defended his thesis on panathenaic amphorae of hellenistic times (classical archaeology) in 2019 at the University of Bonn. In addition to a variety of jobs including tutoring, lecturing and working for archaeological companies, from 2014 to 2019 Martin Streicher worked at the University of Mainz on a project financed by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research called LOB │ Lehren – Organisieren – Beraten (teach, organise, advise). He was the spokesperson for their on-campus mentoring network, a position he also held within the working group Wissen schafft Karriere within the Deutschen Archäologen-Verbandes e.V. In 2015 he coordinated the creation of the Verbundes Archäologie Rhein-Main (VARM), a collaborative association involving the Technische Universität Darmstadt, the Goethe University Frankfurt, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, the Mainz University of Applied Sciences, the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden, the Romano-Germanic Commission in Frankfurt and the Römisch-Germanischen Zentralmuseum - Leibniz Research Institute for Archaeology in Mainz.
